Acora speakers at Axpona

So what makes this speaker so special? It sounded amazing in the large room, dynamic, airy and wonderful soundstaging. Was it the 200k ancillary equipment in front of it? Any real world audiophiles actually own them in normal size listening rooms with equipment for mere mortals?

Were you able to listen to  Rockports before you decided on the Acoras? The Avior ii is in the same price range. I would describe the Avior ii similar to your description of the Acoras. Amazing detail zero harshness. No listening fatigue.

No, I have not listened to any Rockport models to compare, but have heard wonderful things about them.

Looks cool. Wish I was there to hear them. They remind me of YG's initial models and older Rosso Fiorentinos which also used Scanspeak drivers in an ambitious enclosures.

I was wondering as I do have the Avior ii and they are amazing. I had never heard of the Acoras until the show and it would of been a more difficult choice if I had heard them. Happy listening
