Anyone tried BlockBuster on-demand movie service??

Seems pointless to me to let yourself in for Blockbuster's shenanigans when movies on-demand comes free with a Netflix membership. Once the home video medium transitioned from VHS, I haven't liked Blockbuster. After DVD came in, they insisted on stocking the full screen versions, and that's where I parted company. I've been a Netflix member for over five years and am still happy with it. My step-daughter gave the Blockbuster membership a try (with its mail order/bricks'n'mortar service angle) and felt that she got burnt by it, between the late fees and the charges for various services beyond the subscription.

My main focus for the inquiry is picture and sound quality. I don't view movies through the Netflix streaming because the picture doesn't meet my standards....my 12 year-old son uses it and the picture and sound are okay by him. I get the Netflix streaming movies for free, and you get what you pay for in this instance. After viewing a movie streamed by Netflix you quickly realize the old adage....that there is no free lunch. My primary movie viewing media is Netflix Blu-Ray discs. I would be willing to give the Blockbuster plan a try and be willing to pay for it if the picture is dvd quality as their advertising says it its.

Again....has anyone experienced a Blockbuster on-demand movie and does the picture rival dvd?
