Ok, all my input is hearsay--Generally the room is the weakest part of your system. I would say this may add some 'spice'--but not accurate 'spice'---33 years ago I had Bose901s and hung them on lamp chain. (High up and near each corner)That means 16 drivers facing the wall. I could lay down on the floor and listen to the music coming from beind me. It was a fun novelty. aka spice.
Anyone try center backs this way???????........
I was at a mid/hi-fi store not too long ago and the owner mentioned one of his customers does this with his center backs in a 7.1 setup...\
The center backs are monitors with front ports , they are placed on their backs' against wall on floor firing up to the ceiling, He tells me this makes the whole wall open up for surround because of reflections, now my B&W Dipoles are mounted on the wall so I cant and wont try this but has anyone done this?...I figured it was interesting enough to post.
