Audience Cables
Back in the day there used to be a lot fewer cable manufacturers. Audioquest, Siltech, Cardas, Kimber. Monster etc. Less than a dozen I believe, including my small Music Metre company. . Now it seems ole there are a couple hundred people making cables. Makes choosing difficult not to mention even knowing where to start. When I got back into two channel during COVID jail time I didnt know what to do about cables, I had long since given away and sold my Music Metre cables but luckily I got a good recommendation to start with Audience Ohno cables. These were extremely good for the money, Ohno continuous cast conductors and had a nice natural sound. Recently I had an opportunity to upgrade to Audience Studio Two and Studio One cables. Both had the effect of raising my musical enjoyment and made a definite improvement. Expensive yes, but not as much as a lot of cables and remember you are paying for improvement in sound not pounds of aluminum in a box. Something for consideration. As for cable deniers, remember the saying, "Better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you are ignorant than opening your mouth and proving it".

I tried several manufacturers cables when first looking to upgrade. I settled on Audience AU 24SX and gradually acquired a full loom. I thought they were great. Then my dealer swapped in a pair of Kubala Sosna Elation speaker cables. Wow. much fuller yet still just as resolving and smooth. I now have all Kubala Sosna Elation and Realization. |
Hello @inna ! Yes Elation are at another level. But what is not fair is the way I can not ‘unhear’ things! :). They are so much better (to me). I acquired my cables over time, many used. The AU 24 SX were easy to sell. Not a huge difference, considering the upgrade. With Realization out, (yes better) Elation can be found and I think is the sweet spot in the K-S line. |
