To each their own taste for sure. I prefer a good couple of whiskys and the bass guitar in my hands playing along with the great musicians of our long life. Do I play well, of course not, but aspiration often leads to inspiration and that to improvement. I play better than I once did. :) A good song turned up loud enough to appreciate the detail and dynamic range inherent in the chosen track and a good bass line to play with is made so much better with a glass of good whisky. Its even better if you have a female friend to share both the whisky and the music with. Those are the events you cherish and want to repeat over and over again. Or maybe I pick up the trombone and play something...either way its fun and feeds the soul.
