Auralic Altair X Auralic Altair G1

Can anyone tell if the new model Auralic Altair G1 is indeed superior in sound quality to the previous model Auralic Altair ??

It is a wonderful streamer and DAC. Open detailed and musical. I recently did an a/b comparison to the aurender A10, and while I like the streaming app some what more than the Altair the DAC can't come close to that the Altair g1 delivers. The Altair is also open source so roon is an addon option. I just ordered the G2.1 to compare the units. Will let you know the results.
