Auralic Altair X Auralic Altair G1

Do you own or know Auralic Altair?

I think the Altair G1 just started delivering to dealers a week or 2 ago so it might be hard to find someone. I am going with a Lumin myself. They have a dealer network 4 to 5 times the size in the u.s. judging from dealer listings on each company's website.

Yes, I think you are right. I didn't know how long this model was released. I am interested to know because the previous model has excellent sound quality. Judging from what was reported by Auralic, my expectation is high regarding the gain with the sound quality.

I own an Altair G1 and love it added a 2 tb SSD internally for music as well.  It is a wonderful streamer and DAC. Open detailed and musical. I recently  did an a/b comparison to the aurender A10, and while I like the streaming app some what more than the Altair the DAC can't come close to that the Altair g1 delivers.   The Altair is also open source so roon is an addon option.  I just ordered the G2.1 to compare the units. Will let you know the results.

After buying the Altair G2.1 I have to admit it is a great upgrade providing more detail,  So I am selling my Altair G1 soon if you are interested - will be listing soon.
