Best options for active speakers $4k or below?

Want a simple but superb sounding all-inclusive active speaker for my elderly but loud-music-loving mother in NJ. Used is OK!

Had a small pair, 2way, amazing sound, clean sound. Ebay and other places for a good price. Mine were too beat up on electronics, specifically the RCA input wires internally were broken.
