best sub $1000 amp to mate with tube preamp

If you can find a good used Musical Design D 140 or D 150B,would be an excellent choice to work very well with a tube preamp. Plus John Hillig is always available to answer whatever concerns you may have. These are some of the most musical power amps I have heard.

I agree with Ferrari. Look for a used Musical Design amplifier, if you can find one.

could you fill me in on odyssey's design? mosfets, jfets, something would help. cant find the info on the website. they are still the at the top of consideration the musical design amps are frankly just too ugly from the get go. their design doesnt sound groundbreaking either. thanks for the mention though.
