Have you checked with the manufacture of the panels? I got mine from Ready Acoustics and they were very helpful; had me put some in positions I would never have tried but which worked very well. If they have suggestions they would be more valuable than most of us can offer; never having used your treatment material or heard or seen your room.
Ceiling & Front Wall Treatments
I'm thinking about moving around some of the acoustical panels in my listening room. Pictures of my room are posted under BIGBY in the System section on Audiogon.com at
http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?vopin&1274737362&rea How do you think the following changes will impact the acoustics of the room:
1) Remove the RPG Hemiffusors on the ceiling between the listening position and the speakers. Replace them with the two RPG Bad Arc Panels that are on the front wall of the room.
2) Replace the two Bad ARC panels on the front wall with two RPG Modffractal panels.
3) Place the extra RPG Hemiffusors overhead to complement the ones that are already above the listening position.
The change will give complete diffusion across the front wall, with absorption for Bass in the front corners and front ceiling/wall corner.
I think putting the RPG Bad Panels on the ceiling will make the room feel larger, and adding more diffusion to the front wall will create an airy feeling to the sound. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Bigby
