Do video cables also "break in"?

That's the question. I've been testing component video cables and was wondering if, like for the sound of many audio cables, there would be a change in any visual characteristic as the cables break in?

IMO they seem to benefit from break in. When I installed a new AQ YIQ-3 component cable between a DVD player and a TV monitor, the picture color improved with more usage becoming more vibrant and contrasting for eg: the blacks became "blacker". YMMV.......
