Does Mytek Brooklyn DAC+ need USB power

Thank you for your reply mastering92. I guess I was not clear enough.i am using Sbooster to power Mytek. I want to make DIY audio USB cable from Auralic G1 streamer to Mytek Brooklyn DAC+, and was wondering if I can omitt 5V line and use only + and - data and ground lines.

I believe the DAC requires the 5V from the USB cable.

But you don’t have to take my opinion, or anyone else’s. Just block pin 1 on the plug of your current USB cable into the Aurelic and see if it works. Use a thin strip cut from a business card to block it. It will either work or not!

Then you’ll know for sure.
