I'm going to dump Sting cd into the cooler for a while.
He's always singing about bad weather and Russia and crap like that. So, he'll have a marvelous time there. or maybe I'll put Foreigner's song "Cold as Ice" in it. Maybe the improved lyrics will be heard as, "you're as old as the ice age..."
But seriously, I'll tell you all one thing that IS true: There's a lot of B.S. out there regarding need for special cleaners for cds. I use a common cleaner (no abrasives, DUH!) with a bit of bleach in it to clean my cds. Very big improvement. You don't need any $30 per ounce liquids. I suppose I'll garnish some enemies for saying it, but it does improve sound significantly.
I didn't used to believe years ago that speaker cable made a difference - they do. I also didn't think interconnects could - they do. Now, I'm seeing big differences with power cords. Cleaning cd's makes a difference. Freezing them? I'll do one, just for kicks. If you're not willing to look stupid, you might not learn. But, I'll think twice about freezing electronics.
