FYI: Aurender A15 and A200 Models Are Now ROON Ready

As of November 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM CST, the Aurender A15 and A200 have joined the Roon Ready family!

  • Aurender A200: A compact powerhouse featuring an Intel quad-core processor and MQA Full-Decoder DAC. Its sleek aluminum chassis and 6.9" display make it both functional and beautiful.
  • Aurender A15: Designed for discerning audiophiles, it boasts balanced outputs and a sophisticated dual-mono AKM4490 DAC with MQA full-decoder technology for unparalleled audio performance.

What does “Roon Ready” mean?
Being Roon Ready ensures that supported Aurender units are discoverable endpoints for the Roon Server, delivering seamless integration and exceptional sound clarity.

How to get started:

  1. Ensure Roon Server is installed on your local network.
  2. Maintain an active Roon subscription.
  3. Update your Conductor app to version 4.23 and Aurender System Software to 1.24.241 via Conductor Settings.

Yes I wrote a snarky reply earlier that got nuked so I apologize. But it seems like some people like to bring up unrelated topics or products very frequently, so I got frustrated with that. I'll leave that alone though.

Glad to hear that Aurender is finally on board with Roon. That was one of the reasons I went with Innuos over Aurender when I upgraded a few years back. Next upgrade I will try Aurender again to see how they do.

This is significant because Aurender previously operated in a closed ecosystem with its Conductor app, and integrating with Roon opens up their devices to a broader user base. HOWEVER, yes, Aurender devices still require a separate Roon Core, unlike all-in-one solutions like Innuos or 432EVO, which combine both core and endpoint functionalities.

In other words, you have choices like products that have both core and endpoint functionalities in one box or products that operate as a Roon endpoint. Very simple.

BTW, I use Audiovana on my Infigo Audio IS-1 streamer and like it very much. The more IMPORTANT NEWS IS that we can audition these products, applications ourselves and decide what sounds best for us.

Tried Roon with my N200. I prefer the sound using the Conductor and Aurender proprietary processing. Roon is awesome for music discovery and non-critical listening (with Aurender that is).

why is this a big deal? you still need a Roon core you can purchase an Innous or 432EVO server which are Roon cores and endpoints all in one device.
