Where do you find the info you posted?

I simply buy used in stores by visual condition, then price; or Discogs, sort by condition then scroll down the prices, from USA keeping shipping costs lower. Been successful so far. eBay, combo of description and 100% rating also works for me.

Considering Content: Excellent engineering: quality, space and placement, how mic'd resulting sound and imaging choices make a big difference for me, regardless of which pressing. When great, I typically remark: these guys knew what they were doing!

Do better pressings reveal the results of excellent engineering as well? Any source of comments about engineering choices/quality?

Thanks guy…looks like I can’t rule out new pressings …and I forgot about the Japanese pressings….I used have Japanese pressed Zeppelins and was very impressed!  
 

Anyway, sounds like some decent discussion is spawning…so please keep it coming.

I’d love to hear what others have to say about original or at least ‘70s pressings.  
I am lights years from, say, the people at Better Records in CA who have heard huge numbers of vintage pressings of tons of albums, but I’ve had a hard time finding “a good one” with this LP.  
There may be a vintage pressing that blows the rest out of the water.  
I find the efficiency in buying an immaculate, beautifully mastered, all analog copy cut straight from the original masters a very solid option.

Craft did a 50th Anniversary version in 2020.  It's pretty darn good.

Huge CCR fan here.  I think I have all the versions that Chad did and a few imports.
