HK Citation 22 - help?

To any of the audio powers that be-  I was just given what I am told is a decent working setup. HK citation 22 amp and a 21 pre amp. Hooked up to DCM KX 10 series 2 speakers. I am setting up in my garage and when powered up all lights appear to come on but no sound from speakers. The amp power light doesn't come on but op mode high voltage and high current light up. Any thoughts
