KEF 104/2 woofer replacement?

Has anyone replaced the 4 internal bass drivers in the 104/2 with something else?

I did use them for 28 years so I am not complaining.

There are rebuilding services for them. A couple of years ago I called them and they had the replacement woofers in stock.
