Maggie 20.7's: Sanders Magtech with Rogue Pharaoh as preamp

Hi,  Just purchased Maggie 20.7's.  I currently have 1.7's and a Rogue Pharaoh.  Selling the 1.7's and looking at getting a Sanders Magtech and using the Rogue as a passive preamp.  Any thoughts?  I know I need to get a Preamp soon.

You may not need a preamp . Try the Rogue . I use a $60 volume pot that has beat out preamps costing over 7k . You never know ...

Wow!!  Thanks for that info.  I have a turntable, does the volume pot have a phono stage?

No , The pot I am currently using has one input and one output . I do not do Vinyl so have no idea what you would need for a turntable . The main thought I am trying to send is try anything and everything when it comes to audio . Don't pigeonhole yourself with thinking more money gets you better sound guaranteed .
