Mcintosh c2600 issue

Refused warranty because it was purchased from over phone authorized dealer??

  Slowly losing,respect for Mac past year or so, their shenanigans, using cheaper parts, QC has become poor.
they were once the top echelon of audio. Seems even the mighty Mac has been slowly deteriorating. 
  Would still take amps if price was right,....oh wait nevrmind, they will not honor warranty unless the full markup of 50% is dealer implemented.  There is so much better audio out there. Mac  looks great yes, but as I was told here a while ago when I was just a watcher/reader......trust your ears not your wallet or recommendations by daily joes. 

I bought my equipment as demo items last year - knock on wood no problems, great performance and when I attempted to register while it was initially declined a brief phone call and the rep did some research and registered the warranty.

Obviously there's lots of quality audio equipment out there.  My experience has been good and folks who visit my house are not commenting how Mac and Sonus Faber lack detail and punch when I play Guerilla Radio.

June was 50 years of Mac for me.. I was raised around Mac, JBL, Thoren, and Garrard.  My Dad bought an Edsel to.

The thing I've found out about Mac is the service is reasonable. I've never paid over 400.00 for any service or repair from Mac.

I've had a few pieces like C20s (my favorite), MC240s, 30s, 60s rebuilt head to toe.  700-1200.00 depends on what's done. 

They last forever, so far.. I've seen entire chassis rusted through, playing away.

Re Casing is available on all 30,40,60,75,225,240,275. I've always been able to find parts, glass, chassis, Knobs, wooden cases, panlocks.

It's never fun to repair a piece of equipment, but, all in all, good service for the long term.. It's great equipment.  The newest I have is a C2500, I lost the bias on the right channel behind a cable drop.. 300.00 bucks.. 2 months. Last count 28 pieces of Mac gear.

I think the flickering light is some type of mind control.. Don't stare at the light.. :-) The Mac Attack has begun..

BTW that Sony AIN'T crappy.. Sony made great gear. Some of the best SACDs ever made, ES series..

Hi,no it was purchased as new with the metal straps still in place Unopened box . Some one purchased 2 and never used it so I jumped on it . Im trying not to notice the flicker for now and will get it serviced within a month or so . 

For whatever it's worth, I've never had anything but stellar experiences with my Mc products or Mc service (only needed them once, to send me new packaging, they were quick and easy to get a hold of).
