Muddy Waters "Folk Singer"

Should be on the desert island list: Junior Wells "Hoodoo Man Blues" on Delmark and "The Cannonball Adderley Quintet in San Francisco", Riverside (the 20bitK2 Super Coding remasterd version will give you excellent sonics to boot). The list is so long, the only important thing to remember is that once you are on the journey of discovery of blues and jazz, you have a lifetime of learning and enjoyment to look ahead to. Nice to see someone talking about music instead of vibration control and burn-in for a change!

I hope the copy you picked up of MW's Folk Singer was the Original Master Recording, UltradiscII Gold CD,(big difference!!) Another intimate Blues recording is Lightnin' Hopkins's Lightnin' CD or LP both great!

Has anyone compared the very recent release of Muddy's "Folk Singer" with the Gold Ultradisk II version which is a few years old ? The Gold is a favorite reference disk for me.
