Output Caps For Dehavilland Ultraverve

Has anyone changed the output caps on their Ultraverve, and if so with what and to what effect?  A couple of years ago Kara suggested Mundorf's with the caveat that she had not experimented with any of the more esoteric options.  Thanks for your advice...

Ok here is what you do if you have the money. The total capacitance needed should be between 1.8uf - 2.8uf. Best option;

1) Jupiter copper foil caps 2.2uf. $200 for both at Sonic Craft. Place the Duelund .01uf silver foil bypass caps in parallel. $200 cost total from Part Connextion. This will transform your preamp in ways you thought were not possible.

If this is too much money then to this,

2) Jupiter copper foil cap 2.2uf only.....no bypass.

Be sure to place the outer foil end of the Jupiter cap on the input and the other side towards the output (rca jacks). The outer foil side is marked with a solid line next to the printing.

These options will sound far more organic, real, and natural than the Mundorf caps.

How any volts needed D.C. .
i have been using to many surprisethe excellent Fostex Copper foil
Tin toil . One of the engineers said their dialectic is totally different
then the competition as well as they listened for almost 18 months the correct balances between Copper and tin and dialectic
and purity ,and temp you anneal. I can tell you I personally feel in my speakers ,and output on my preamp using 3.3uf Fostex they are rich but fast and open the Tin foil I feel make it better in some circumstances to all Copper foil they are better then All MundorfSilver  oil ,and gold oil not tipped up just very natural
designed to complement the Fostex super tweeter, and single drivers . The only negative is 240-250 Volt D.C. Is max , and
.33uf , to 3.3uf are max sizes . I have mixed with a Clarity CSA,
and Mundorf Supreme in another speaker and balance very nicely
.33 for bypass duties is excellent nothing over done what so ever
with these caps I feel these are better then the Entrylevel Duelund
caps these are a 13 rating  a personal new favorite priced less
then a Mundorf Silver oil.  Speakers plenty of Voltage , amp, preamp depending on the circuit well worth checking out
the improvement on depth of image alone as well as Bass punch
vs the Mundorfs  or blended together is well worth the trouble
give 250-300 hours to full runin solid copper leads  , coated ?
Thanks for your expertise and help.  Bill, would I need the Jupiter cap rated at 100VDC or 600VDC?  Also, while it is impossible to put an absolute objective value on the benefit of using the bypass cap, how much of a subjective sound quality difference would you say there is using both caps as opposed to just the Jupiters??

Need the 600v Jupiter. 100v is for speaker crossovers. Expect the Duelund silver to improve everything top to bottom considerably. The impact they have is substantial improving the SQ of the output cap position by some 20%.
Hi, I own an Ultraverve and a pair of Aries G's. I installed Duelunds and although it took forever for them to burn in, my Ultraverve is now, quite spectacular to hear! BTW, Kara rules !
