Taking myself to task, I've realized that the only cool people here are the ones who haven't responded.
Please Make Audiogon Cool
I think that there are a lot of experienced and interesting people on this site. Some in retail, some in manufacturing, and probably some really cool artists, scientists and engineers of all sorts of backgrounds.
I want to encourage those of you with something to say, a point of view, a helpful idea to post.
Without this type of interaction, Audiogon becomes just a shopping support group. If you care about the Audiogon community and would like to see it go in a particular direction, then please contribute in the way you feel most comfortable and engaging.
Thanks!
Erik

making Audiogon cool. Sigh. Audiogon will never be cool if we ignore the snake oil charlatans that frequent these pages, that say bench test and measurements don’t matter, and say thing like "a 300b SE will sound magic into those Wilson Alexia’s" and "it’s the way the mains fuse direction is", or "what color fuses is better" ect ect ect. Once this voodoo bull shit stops, only then will it become a cool place, as then there won’t be much conflict. Who would you rather believe an audio technician or this turkey http://www.machinadynamica.com/ Cheers George |
