PS Audio Windom. New Update.

Plan on updating to the 3.15 tomorrow. The Windom update should be interesting. When snowmass was released, it was fun to relisten to albums and pick up things that were previously non-existent.

Its gonna be hard to change as My system with Snow mass is amazing ! That being said , from what I hear its much better !

Updated the dmp to 3.15 earlier today. It was odd. The dac volume kept dropping to 60%. I would increase the volume, it would automatically reduce to 60%. I rebooted both units and no further issues. As far as sonic improvements, there hasn't been much extra time in the schedule to sit back and enjoy.

I downloaded the sneak preview version and got a couple of hours with it tonight. 

The difficult part of evaluating a firmware update is that it’s difficult to do A/B testing. 

That said, two things stood out to me on my first listen to Windom. The first thing I noticed was that the music seemed more “real” and clear. Difficult to describe this quality exactly, because it was more than just detail, it the music actually seemed a bit more genuine and authentic. The second thing that I noticed was a slight increase in dynamics. The music seems to have a bit more punch than it did before.
