Speakers for Computer

There are a lot of DAC/digital to analog converters with USB inputs that can connect to the USB port on your computer without having to concern yourself with a sound card. There are also a lot of devices with the DAC and the speaker amplifier in the same chassis, like this one:

A sound card is only for recording audio off the web 
A good USB cable to a Schiit Modi will get you there.
Then out to powered speakers with a sub under the desk.

Im thinking about buying some speakers for my PC, but not entirely sure what to look for. Im looking for some good quality speakers because im going to use them for some music so https://snaptube.cam/ftware. Do I have to buy a soundcard? Do I need to get some sort of audio interface? can I just connect the speakers to the MOBO ports? Is soundcard and audio interface the same? thanks also any recommendations Is highly appreciated.
