Specific i2s cable for use with Sonnet Morpheus DAC & 3rd party DDC

Greetings,

I'm considering buying a Sonnet Morpheus. Reviewers seem to strongly favor using the i2s input on the Morpheus. I understand I can purchase a DDC (ex: Denafrips Hermes) to convert my music servers USB output into a i2s signal.

On their website Sonnet clearly tells the customer that their i2s input uses a non-conventional "pin configuration for the i2s input.

What I don't understand is the following: Must the i2s cable have its pin configuration custom configured for both the output (On the DDC device) as well as on the receiving end (i2s input on the Sonnet)?

More to the point- Does anyone know of a specific i2s cable that is compatible with the Sonnet Morpheus?

Thanks

An industry expert I trust suggested AES/EBU over I2S. Which I've been using (Audience AU24SX).

Recently bought a Tubulus Argentus I2S cable, from DDC to Dac. I really like it, and will sell the Audience.

I asked Aldwin from Tubulus what the difference in the V2 Argentus was.

"Argentus V2 model has some conductors added to make it compatible with all i2s equipment."

I recently purchased a Sonnet Hermes and use a I2S cable from Audio Arts to connect the Morpheus.  I've not compared this to AES or COAX from the Hermes, but it is a significant boost over the USB from a Zen Stream.  The connection uses a standard ethernet cable connection between the two and if you were to use something other than the Hermes you'd need a custom cable configuration to accommodate the connection.  Anyway, the Morpheus is a top performer in my secondary system and I enjoy it immensely.
