I've had a pr. of 2.0's in white for a couple of yrs. I didn't notice any cabinet resonances but the cabinet isn't as large as the 2.5's. I have thoroughly enjoyed these speakers for the money. Have them well away from walls and they disappear. Plays nice with most all recordings, not bright at all, very large soundstage. Very relaxing and a draw you into the music. The bass was -3 @ 45hz in my room so I use 2 Rythmik subs as well but not needed by all listeners. The only real negative I can think of is the small details can be a little obscured sometimes. They are there but lack some of that leading edge attack and seem a little rolled off on top but that gives them some of their charm. Depends on what you are looking for. I am moving on to much more $ speakers in my dedicated room but will keep these for a living room system as they are easy on the eye and ears. They got a great review in The Absolute Sound. |
This is the review that made me purchase the 1.5's. http://the-ear.net/review-hardware/sonus-faber-venere-15-25-loudspeaker |
