Suggest one obsure album we all should hear

Gonna emphatically second Al Stewart's "Past Present and Future" and Graham Parker's "Squeezing Out Sparks".

"About you" by Albin Lee Meldau.

Wishbone Ash Argus was my first obsession album too.
