Swans Loudspeakers--How good?

I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of used Swans HiVi-F3BF speakers. They're 3-ways with a ribbon tweeter, are about 30" tall, weigh about 62 lbs. each, and I sometimes see pics of them on 10-15" stands. When I get the time I'll probably audition them, but I'm wondering both what their "house sound" is and how reliable and long-lived they are, especially since I'm not sure if they are officially distributed in the US. Also, it appears that Internet new price is around $1395, and these, in excellent condition are $695.

Thoughts? Feelings? Opinions?
