synergistic research's element copper

Has anyone else tried this interconnect? This is one of the cables I have on load and it has made a good impression on me. I have some concerns. I can not find out very much on the internet, no reviews. I searched the forum and as far as I can tell I’m the only member posting about them.

These as with several of their more expensive cables us an “Active Shielding” you have to plug a wall wart into it. It also has 3 tuning bullets, silver, grey, and black. What I’ve discovered is different music sounds better with different bullets. I like the black bullets on jazz or very well recorded rock they make it sound bigger the stereo sound stage just envelopes the room. However a more edgy sounding distorted guitar sounds worse. For that the silver is better.

I have had many of my needle drops that had some distortion and with these cables depending on which bullets are being used sound much better. My concern is that this will turn out to be more snake oil and is actually tricking my mind into thinking it’s better. I wish I could find some more folks who have tried them.

There are many many reviews of these cables and other cables from Synergistic Research. Go to the S.R. Website and you can find links to dozen of reputable review websites. Also, a google search found me at least a dozen VERY positive reputable reviews.

I own these cables and they are the real deal. I have auditioned dozens other cables from The Cable Company and Synergistic Research were the very best in my system. Their technology is the real deal.

Have fun and always believe your ears!!! You have to experiment and see for yourself before you buy anything.
Instead of reading reviews in published magazines you should try the Hidiamond RCA/XLR interconnects. Rave reviews from actual buyers all around the world. Simply plug in and listen. No gimmicks, bullets, strings of awful MPC connectors. If it needs those tweeks, it wasn't made correct off the hop( my opinion). The HD are the real deal, Italian made with the patented technology of their own, top grade connectors too. All at a real world price......
I agree with everyone in these posting except for Bacardi. Whom posts his same opinion frequently to any Synergistic Research product posting that has S.R. in the subject line. This forum is NOT about S.R. Copper PCs-RCA-XLR-I/C-S/C Etc vs. some inferior No Name PCs-RCA-XLR-I/C-S/C Etc company that does not offer a money back guarantee or a trial demo period on any of its products. What are they trying to hide??? Just my honest opinion!

A very nice member (and friend of mine) of Audiogon sent to me his HiFi-D P3 and P4 PCs to Demo in my system for a month. The NEW Element series from Synergistic Research blows away these PCs. The P3 costs the same as much of the Element Copper and the P4 costs 2 1/2 more than the Element Tungsten and that middle of the line PC puts the P4 to shame. Imagine what the Element CTS line of cables can do. Have you tried them all in your system? I did and made my own conclusions and so should anyone else. But if anyone can not demo a cable or if there is no money back guarantee, I say and stay away from those companies. And this goes for all HiFi- D RCA-XLR-I/C-S/C Etc. Just my honest opinion!

Next, the wall warts are never a problem. And if you don't like them, get a Transporter for all the $$$ you save from buying an Element Tungsten PC vs. the P4 PC. The Transporter has (34) inputs and sounds better than Galileo MPC's. So the retail price for (5) Galileo MPC's that can just power (10) active shields and uses (5) outlets Vs. the Transporter which uses one outlet and costs the same and has better performance has (34) inputs for active shields. If you think about it and crunch the numbers on paper like I did this alone makes any audio system cheaper then getting all P4's for your audio system. Plus I was able to buy the Transporter used from The Cable Company and saved 50%. WOW! a true bargain to me. Anyway, the P3 is much much lower class than the P4 for reference level audio systems. The Element Copper beats the P3 in every spot I put it in, Source, Pre-Amp, Amp, Integrated amp, power strip, subwoofer. Etc. Etc. Again, these are my conclusions and personal experience in my 3 home audio systems. Just my honest opinion!

Please stop posting on the forums where in the subject is asking about S.R. equipment. Just because you are a disgruntled past owner of S.R. products, does not mean you have the RIGHT to convince other people to try and sell another product for another company. It actually makes you look like a sales person for that company. Are you getting some kind of free product or discount? Because actually there is no reason for this type of post on this subject from anyone. It also makes your creditability look bad because if you look at your past posts in your cable discussion section, you mostly talk about that Hi-Fi D company Vs. S.R. You add no useful advise at all. Plus I always wondered why you never post your system/s here on Audiogon? Is your equipment up to par, mid-fi or reference level? So I or anyone else has no idea what you are even comparing these cables in. To me, this also questions your creditability. Just my honest opinion!

Anyway, sorry for the long rant and I am trying to be nice. There is no need to respond with your opinion in this post about something else, its just my opinion. If its not useful information about S.R. products like the subject field asks. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone has one. I don't mean any disrespect if that is how you read this. I'm typing all of this because it seems like you jab at S.R. every chance you get if anyone talks about S.R. Therefore, just please don't post on the S.R. specific subject posts and waste ours and your time unless you have useful info good or bad about S.R. products. Everyone should demo these fine cables and form their own opinions in their very own audio systems. Just like I did. Thank you! ;-)
David Elrod cables make short shrift of any other cables I have heard, including SR cables.
I am very pleased with my SR Copper Element interconnects, I have them between my pre amp and amp great musicality!
