Tekton Electron SE

I previously had a pair of Tekton Double Impacts which I really liked but moved to a smaller place and they became too big. I am considering purchasing a pair of Electron SE but there is very little info about them out there. Any owners out there that care to share their impressions on the Electrons? Thanks.

Give us more details on how they sound MusicBox! I'm still on the fence... DI or electron SE. I'd love to hear opinions from folks who have heard both.

Also, $3K is at the top of my budget. How much better are these speakers than say, a standard electron or an enzo 2.7? Is it 100% better?! :)
In my opinion the Electron SE has very deep well defined bass. The seven tweeter array was something I really craved tho, over the three tweeter Enzo XL. These sound awesome at low volumns too. Of course they can rock hard if needed, wanted.

These SE compared to the regular DIs have better drivers and most likely will sound better in rooms my size. The 2.7 may work in even a smaller space, and you get the seven driver tweeters, but I think only 6" woofers ??? The Electron SE is a steel at $$$ 3,000.00 !!
I had a pair of Tekton Double Impacts that I sold when I moved to a smaller home. After a year of evaluating various smaller speakers I decided to go back to Tekton but with the more compact Electron SE. In my room these speakers work perfectly. The bass on these smaller speakers is unbelievably deep and tight. I miss none of the punch from the bigger Double Impacts. On mine's I used a single Beryllium tweeter on the middle of the array. The tops on these are very extended and crisp clear more so than the DBs. The imaging and sweet-spot is electrostatic-like with excellent ability to present the faintest details in a recording. In my appreciation other than the ability to convey a "bigger" bass the Electrons have a more refined sound and the bass in my room is more than sufficient with a tighter presentation than that of the DB's. Finally these are just an awesome value.Try finding a 99dB efficiency speaker that goes down to 20Hz for less than $10K. At $3K the Electro SE are ridiculously cheap. These guys are a definitely worth looking into if you are looking for an efficient full ranger.

I’ve had the Electron SEs for about a year and am enjoying them very much. It did take some searching for a good amp to mate with these. I just added a SET 300b amp (9 watts per channel; it’s an Elekit TU 8600) and think I’ve finally honed in on the core sound that I’m looking for. These are very clear, revealing speakers that don’t sound overly colored and are definitely non fatiguing. I would disagree about the deep bass though - if you crave deep base you’ll probably want to add in a sub (I do). And yes, a stronger push pull amp will give you more bass punch than a SET amp with these speakers, but I’ve heard them

with a more powerful amp and they don’t go as low as advertised. All in all, a very nice package a good value.
