The Music Room - Boulder Colorado

This vendor has a lot of favorable comments - but I have had a very unfavorable experience with them this Dec 2019. I have sent all my trade items & $400 via PayPal to them (per our email agreement) - all of which The Music Room has been confirmed to have rec’d. Despite my many emails they do not get back to me on the status of my trade shipment of a Rega turntable. I have called them multiple times - I cannot recommend that you deal with The Music Room, and currently I do not believe that they are legit. If they don’t make right in the next day or so I will have to file a complaint with the BBB.

After reading all of theses response how can you question that this company is legit? You spoke with a person on the phone, they have an expensive webpage. Now you might not have liked the service you received. But legitimacy does not appear to be your issue. Try taking to someone else ask for a manager.

I made an offer to them on a piece of equipment last sunday afternoon. They got back to me sunday night with a counter. I recountered and they responded they couldn’t meet my offer. All this on Sunday evening.

So they can provide prompt replies.

I passed as their price was only 20% off retail on a well used piece of equipment.  They will tell you they are more than 20% off retail but they want $600 shipping and the OEM includes shipping in the price. Oh yeah, it is still listed there.

I would never sell a piece of equipment to TMR as they only give you pennies on the dollar and then resell for thousands more.  But I would (and have) buy from them if they accept my offer.  I also think that they sometimes sell some equipment below market value because they just want to move it and they can still make a sizeable profit, which undercuts other sellers and lowers the market resell value.

No problems, easy to deal with, prompt. They didn't offer me what I wanted for my amp but tough nuts, they have bills to pay too. 

Anyone remember Johnny the Audio Pimp? At least these TMR guys are legit and stable.
