Initially, these drop on flywheels were purpose fit to each motor shaft. As time goes on, the delrin motor shaft wears and the flywheel no longer fits properly. You can try a layer of scotch tape at the shaft base to increase the diameter. Or do away with it as 99% of us have.
VPI Aries and Included Flywheel Help?
Question-
I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get the flywheel included with the Aries table (small flat disk that fits over the motor pulley) to work. Everytime I put the flywheel on the pulley and fire the table up, the flywheel chatters and makes all sorts of rumbling noise. As there is no mention of the flywheel in the manual, or how to correctly install it, I was wondering how some of you folks might have gotten this thing to work correctly. I was thinking of using double-stick tape to stick it to the motor pulley.
Any suggestions you might have would be welcome.
Thanks in advance for your response.
