Bobtail!

Dingdingding!

A winner!

Too easy for you, yogiboy.

While I can't argue with the likes of Greg Lake, Ian Anderson and the collaboration between Bing Crosby and David Bowie, my favorite song has always been Carol of the Bells, When done right it is stunning. The first video is traditional and the second is just for fun.

It's actually a Thanksgiving song!

Trivia question:

In 'Jingle Bells', what is the name of the horse?

I don’t think so.

I’d call it a ’holiday season’ song.

Are you all aware that ’Jingle Bells’ is not a Christmas Holiday song?

No I wasn't, Party Pooper.. :-)

Because I don't even like snow in pictures, I could give a hoot anyways. A one horse open sleigh bouncing over a rough A$$ road makes my back hurt thinking about it.. AND COLD.. Rolls and a Chauffeur please.. Make the chauffeur a Swiss message master too. She can wear a hat a tie though. BUT I prefer that "(she) can leave her hat on" Like Joe Cocker said. No need to be a show off.. :-)

Merry Christmas..

Harry Belafonte - "I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day."

Sounds great in a high-end system.

A very big thank you to all who took the time to add their favorites.

The WWI song I had never heard. Very moving. I hope to have time

to listen to all of them!

Merry Christmas!!

Heard this on a Youtube with Wilson TuneTot speakers. I visit that video often. Jamie Cullum - Beautiful, Altogether.

“I’ll be home for Christmas” by Mindy Smith. The way she sings it I really believe she WILL be home for Christmas.

I don’t think so.

I’d call it a ’holiday season’ song.

'Baby, Please Don't Go' is a Christmas song?

You learn something new every day....

I recently decided to download the Muddy Waters - Baby, Please don't Go song on this site -- https://vaikundapuram-tamil-songs-lyrics.rabbit-mp3.com/ -- because I realized how great this bluesman is. After all, many bluesmen and rock bands were inspired by this genius. It seems to me that the brightest representatives who were inspired by his work are the Rolling stones. Keith Richards and Mick Jagger are always fans of his music, and thanks to him, they know the real blues, which only African Americans could play. So I have Muddy Waters albums playing all the time; lately, I've been listening to him only. He is a brilliant musician -- there will be no one like him in the future.

Isn’t it Good King Wenceles? That’s the way I always heard it as a kid.

One of the greatest songs with a Christian theme is "Good King Wenceslas".

The rich and powerful helping the poor is what Jesus tells us what to do, that is indeed Christian .

Not to mention the Music is beautiful .

P.S . Of course . Doing this at midnight

thecarpathian,

Are you deaf? I don’t really like Little Drummer Boy and never did, but it is clearly about the mythical boy playing his drum for the infant Jesus. That is a Christmas song.

Um, yeah.

I was talking about the other song.

You know, the one I highlighted?

Unless what you wrote was a joke.

In that case, I was still talking about the other song.

- Pentatonix: Little drummer boy or Hallelujah

This gets me every year.

This song is in no way, shape or form, even remotely a Christmas song!

It has zero to do with Christmas!

Nothing!

Zilch!

Now I’ve got to take an aspirin and lie down.

Back in the late 80’s i wanted to see if i could ’seed’ a song into popular memory. It was early Christmas, and I decided on a Christmas tune. I was on the bus, on my way to college for the day and I started musing and came up with the opening verse. to some degree.

and it did make it out there, apparently. things found to be humorous tend to get around. Likened to how they say the best jokes make it to the president within 48 hours.(back in the day).

I wrote it down and spread it around. and it got out there... and is still alive.

and it went:

Jingle Bells

Santa Smells

Like He’s drinking All His Pay..

He’s running down

To the Reindeer pound

Naked as a Jay, Oh!

etc etc...

I believe in Father Christmas by Emerson Lake and Palmer.

It gives me that warm ,cozy ,Christmassy feeling, akin to what I felt as a child.

Greg Lake ‘I Believe In Father Christmas’ (Official Lyrics Video) - YouTube

James Taylor at Christmas - Baby it's Cold Outside with Natalie Cole. The whole album is good though.

Lisa Lane with (the ? ) All I Want For Christmas Is You. she just Crushes it . the mariah carey version is offensive to my ears and i can't turn it off quick enough. m2c....

I don't get choked up by that song, but I like it. In my region (Phoenix) they're not playing it on the Christmas station this year.
