Zavfino

Many nice gents in this site, highly reputable common folks audiophiles like @lalitk @wig and others have mentioned these, so it’s probably time to create a specific thread on Zavfino, a direct sales cables company based in Canada with presence ‘ distributors in US, also direct:

I took the advice of these folks with a power cord, the Prima MK2

I could not be happier with this cord, something that would easily cost $2,000 or even $3,000 from other better known cable makers. It’s outstanding, for about $500. Absolutely amazing build, and packaging too. It sounds great, very quiet. I am sure the cheaper PC, the Majestic at $390 is very good too:
I now have the Prima speaker cables on my way. Call me “sold”.

No BS, truly top quality cables company that flies under the radar. Very affordable too. Take a look. No relation to the company, just a happy first time customer, thanks to my Audiogon friends here

I find jdub39's issues interesting. I am having a similar issue with a twist.

I ordered a single pair of Fusion II interconnects and things were going well enough I ordered a second  1 meter pair. Due to a back up at the factory it took 5 weeks to get the second pair.

When I put them in, they sounded far worse than when i initially put in the first pair. I ran the set up for about 20-25 hours  and things got worse and worse. I took the 1 meter pair out and put them in my headphone set up and ran them for about another 30 40 hours. In that system they sounded very good with good top to bottom balance and good sound stage,

I put the pair back into the main system. While better than initially, they still have a slightly depressed midrange  with blunted leading edges of the notes. The vocal "size" increased to about twice the diameter of the set up with just one pair of Zavfino cables in the mix. The vocal is slightly more diffuse as well as being larger

At this point I'm a bit bemused.

It could be more hours are needed but they sounded so good in the headphone set up

It is just a mismatch between my CD player and preamp

or a very unlikely possibility - these cables don't really like to be less than 1.5 meters. Again doesn't appear probable due to how good they sound in the headphone set up

I'll continue to rack up more hours on the set up with both sets of interconnects in the system and see how it plays out.

It's too bad as what I was shooting for was to get a full loom approach. I was going to order speaker cables but now I've put that idea on hold

Based on everything I've been reading here, I just took delivery today on a pair of Prima Mk II speaker cables; if they sound anything like what they look like, I should be in for a treat once they break in! These are so much thicker than the Morrow 4's I've been using for many a decade, but still easy to move around; look really well-made. If I like these, I will look into their other products you all talk about here....

Congratulations @larsman . I am assuming you know they are directional? They are somewhat non traditional (no arrows).

@thyname - thanks for telling me - how am I supposed to know which way they go if there are no arrows?

I loaned a Golden rush phono cable from my dealer. Pretty impressed with the cable. Similar to silver dart cable, IMO it has balanced sound with better separation than my previous phono cable. Overall full bodied sound without being warm or rolled off, and retains good resolution
