Try Mischa Maisky accompanied by Martha Argerich...Schubert- Sonata Arpergionne and Schumann-Fantasiestucke Op.73 on Philips. Very nice recording and music which is Romantic and romantic!

I subscribed to the Gramophone magazine, a British classical review. They usually send a disc of samples with each issue. The latest one had a sample of a new recording of Frank Bridge String Quartet No.1 on Naxos. It's so beautiful that it had me running to the store immediately. The Maggini String Quartet plays with unerring authority, beauty and soul. This is not available on Hi-Res yet but with the CD at $6. You can't possibly go wrong when the sound is equally beautiful.
