To Cleeds and Shadorne, THANK YOU! As per PH2 allready thanked him, he is a great guy and a delightful person.

Obviously my last rant was directed as Grp4blu,

What is totally distasteful is the man is biased not about what we say but he doesn’t like "salesmanship." He is also biased to say that he is friends with other dealers and is not a friend to us, should barr his from even posting.

This is not about being objective.

There are plenty of NY dealers with excellent products that we do not sell, we do not denefgrate any of these dealer for their products, but I am sure some of the people in the area might find some of these dealers practices questionable.

The story Shaordne said is a perfect example being mobbed when wearing a Rolex and ignored at other times. I have sold tube systems to women, as well as big high end systems, I have worked with celebrities, and young kids buying their first systems, the moral is we should strive to treat everyone fairly, and as I said our shop is located in a private home, so we have a Kitchen, a Bar, an expresso maker, it is not an imposition therefore to extend hospitality to one of our guests.

It should all be about the desire to create something meaningful and beautiful. Music should be something we all enjoy.

What one person thinks is a sales pitch the other person finds as possibly enlightening, helpful of beneficial.

The reason I do this is not just as a business, and yes it is a business, over the 30+ years I have seen way too many people make mistakes that sometimes could be remedied by just changing a cable or adding a power conditioner or moving speakers, while sometimes the advice is to throw the baby out with the bath water.

The idea is to create synergy.

So many good intentioned people sometimes offering great and sometimes not great advice.

We like ATC speakers if we post on a Harbeth thread the OP may find out that the ATC may be better or not, but that is not up to me or Grr4blu,

The idea is that perhaps the OP wasn’t thinking of ATC or perhaps has perfered the Harbeths over B&W and KEF, and was therefore thinking the Harbeth were the best choice, when maybe the OP had only thought that ATC were studio speakers and not really a great high end speaker.

The idea which is erronous is to think that everyone is now running to Audio Doctor to purchase X Y or Z. There are territorial restrictions and sometimes that person is close to another store which has that product or on another coast or country.

The idea is to sometimes make suggestions that the OP may find benefical.

This is the way we all learn, and even after 30 years in the industry I am always learning about some exciting new product or tweek.

Again thank you to all the nice people who are sticking up for our little company and if any one wants to visit us please give us a call to do so.

I would be delighted as hanging out and meeting new people discussing music and gear is what drives us all.

I agree that this is not the best thread for my ire at Audio Doctor as it was about a wonderful experience at Audio doctor which the OP had. For that, I apologize to all on this thread but Audio Doctor. I usually confine my comments about him to threads specifically about other products which he hijacks to sell his. I cannot say he did so here. My first post here arose as a result of the following quote by Audio Doctor:

"Far too many stores especially in the New York metro area are all about closing the sale rather than finding out just what product or series of products is right for the client, for this reason Audio Doctor displays many different lines so we can find just the right product for that client."

Then he attacked me an my post and the wasteful back and forth began. As I indicated earlier, I purchase lots of gear from most of these dealers and know the proprietors personally. Although one or two, unbeknownst to me, may not be as pure as the driven snow, Audiotroy’s statements about Audio Doctors’ integrity as contrasted other dealers’ lack thereof does not reflect the truth of the matter. If members here would like to be educated by a self interested dealer about wonderful new products as Dave claims, then perhaps they might also wish to be educated about the promoter of same so that they can gauge the accuracy of those claims.

Nor does Dave give you the background of my personal experience with him which he well knows---that at Sound By Singer, when he worked there, I as well as every member of my listening group, asked Andy Singer to make sure we did not have him as a salesman because he talked way too much and was a hard seller there-- or the experience I’ve had with him at 2 audio shows where he tried to sell me (not just present as most do) Usher and years later Personas. As a result of my experience with him, as he noted, I have not been and will not go to Audio Doctor.
I hope this context helps.
Assuming Dave does not reply, as he usually does, with insults or misinformation, I will cease posting on this thread.

So lets get the record staight, the reason you don't like me, isn't about my knoweledge, ability to construct great sounding systems, or finding great products it is about talking too much and presenting during an audition while other presenters just play music?

I am so sorry that is what you have found talking about audio products to be so offensive, please let me know who you are so I have the courtsey of barring you from entering my room at shows so you don't have to be barraged by my excessive salesmanship and verbiage. 

Please continue to patronize all of those fantastic dealers that you have mentioned, I have tried to lay down the truth that you don't want to hear.

As per your issue of trolling, grow up, most people that actually want to purchase a product are excited to learn about possible options that they may want to check out.

For what I presume you to be an educated older man, your lack of maturity is shocking. 

We will continue to call attention to great products whenever it is appropriate.

To everyone reading this post, I must appologize for getting heated, one one should be attacked on Audiogon for having an opinion or advocating a product.

What some of your has said is wonderful and very supportive. I have tried building one of the great audio stores that has a real selection and provides the opportunities to actually hear many of the brands you read about in a non pressure, laid back enviornment.

Our shop is in an 1880’s restored Victorian home we have four sound room and eight listening areas. We sell systems starting as little as $500
going up to the truly exotic.

My belief is simple, we identify and promote many new brands and many old industry stalwarts the goal is always to offer the best sounding and most innovative products, and whenver possible find products that challenge the best for less money.

We are always testing out new products and ideas for our clients, up next is the new power conditioner shoot out, Isotek and Torus vs Running Springs which is gone, and Audio Magic which we love.

We have a new highly rated British music  server the Inious Zenith coming in to test vs the Aurender

We have the new Aqua Hifi Formula MK II on order. 

We will be testing some new multi channel amps and hopefully some exciting new power cables.
