Turntables better than a Wadia 861SE w/ Statement

I have a Wadia 861SE w/ Statement upgrade freom GNSC. Thinking of getting a turntable. What are the best choices that produce sonic qualities better than my digital?

To me it depends on the recording. I have so many CD's that completely involve me in the music...why not enjoy them to the fullest? I enjoy analog playback as much as anyone I know, and I'm deeply invested in that format and gear as well, but there is no way I would go without a great CD player in my system. Having/enjoying both at a high level is the only thing that makes sense to me personally. YMMV.

The argument over which is better is kind of silly.
You have a nice analogue set up already.
Get a nice koetsu or vd Hul cartidge or.... , digital can never match the micro dynamics/tonal rightness of good analogue , and yes i had wadia 581 to me it was definetely not worth the money , i dont know about GNSC upgrades though.

One kind of exeption on the rule for me is zanden digital.
This all is just my opinion though
Hello,

Steve, you make a very good point. There are many cd's that I have that are very involving and musically enagaging. The main reason why I have not been listening to cd's much is because I'm absorbed on TT things. The Wadia and other high quality cd players are very very good. They do offer a different perspective and ultimately I think it does depend on the recording and the music you're listening to.
