Wadia, Krell or Sony SACD


I AM IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW CD PLAYER. I HAVE ROUNDED MY OPTIONS TO THE KRELL 280 OR 300, THE WADIA-830 AND THE SONY SCDX777ES. SAN ANTONIO DOESN'T HAVE ANY SHOPS TO LET ME AUDITION SO I MUST GO THROUGH YOU GUY'S. PLEASE HELP.
LET ME KNOW THE BEST WAY TO GO.

It's not that easy, whats the rest of your system? what are you going for in the sound of your system? Why buy a multichannel sacd player if you only want redbook? Help us out a little, (turn off the capital letters). Lots of good redbook players out there for sale.
The SCD 777es is better sounding than the multi-channel XA777es. I own the former but given the choice I would opt for them in this order
1) Wadia
2) Krell
3) Sony
Unless you are looking to mod any of these. Then these suggestions go completely out the window.

Remember, do not buy a source to go with your system, buy a system to go with your source. The source is always by far the most important link in the chain.
If you are only interested in playing cd's, then the Wadia for sure. If SACD's are in your near future, then you're probably best off with the Sony.
