The Audiophile Song - Who Can Relate? Thanks for this awesome video. Both music and lyrics are simply awesome. What a great song!
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!! @kennymacc "Au contraire" would have been the proper way to use that French word. Au contraire mon frère would have been classier. Très heureux que vous avez trouvé votre système favori. Native from Genève, Suisse. Living in the USA since 1975. ...
Who Gets Left Out? I must be doing something wrong, I have 15 components plugged into two Black Lion Audio power conditioners. But I agree about the subs, both of mine are not connected to either.
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!! Good for you. As for me, my vinyl rig, CD rig and streaming rig are all equally satisfying. It sounds like you may have invested way more in the streaming setup than you did in your vinyl and CD one. That being said, nothing beats streaming for di...
Subwoofer Advice I use dual Rythmick F12. I offer no recommendations as to your specific subs questions, but I will offer one about placement. Placing both subs either right inside or outside of the speakers is far from ideal. In my house of stereo it resulted in ...
I'll welcome myself back after a brief hiatus @judsauce Thank you for your more than kind comments. It wasn't easy at the start, it took me 3 months to learn how to walk again. Even if my life changed forever, I was always blessed with multiple talents and found new ways to go through life ...
I'll welcome myself back after a brief hiatus I don't remember you, but great to hear you are finding a way to adapt to your new circumstances. The body is an amazing thing. Suggestions on improvement At 78, I highly recommend a Schiit Loki equalizer. Your probable hearing limitations will be greatly improved with it. Don't let the purist audiophiles talk you out of it.
Leave it Open or Close it Off: A Listening/ Living Room Dilemma With a door, you can experiment both ways. Without a door, you're stuck one way. Easy choice. I also recommend an exterior thick solid wood door over a hollow interior door.
Those magical days when the HVAC is off In my house of stereo, I use a whisper quiet in wall AC/heat unit. Since the construction is ultra insulated, all I usually ever use it is on the dry setting. I can't hear it even with music off. Meaning I enjoy comfort and ultimate sound no matte...
Building Resonance Free Subwoofers $250/hour! I got in the wrong businesses. Beautiful workshop. Nothing like enjoying the fruit of your labor.
Record cleaning and realistic expectations I bought well over 1,500 used vinyl and never got a moldy one, at least not one with moldy white patches. I concurr with myjostin, that would hit the garbage bin. Mold is only good in blue cheese.
JBL's Marketing Blunder.. What up? Ovi. Ew. Woof! They got it all covered.
The Mavericks - " Moon and Stars '' ..... I'm gonna need a lot of wine.
Do high dollar mono blocks truly improve the Sound Quality over the mid tier amps Beautiful room. The dimensions are pretty ideal. The glass walls and lack of acoustic treatments make my ears hurt. As mentioned earlier, you would be better off spending your money on improving the room acoustics before buying any new equipment. |
