I am pleased to hear that the Kleos could have more bottom end slam depending on the tonearm. In my Well Tempered Black Arm, the only thing I think could be improved is the bottom end slam. I was concerned that the Kleos was the issue, but seems l...
The new Borresen M1's...a new direction?
@steve59 Somehow, I do not think you will be seeing a used pair of M1’s showing up anytime soon. If they did, i seriously doubt they would sell for 10% of retail. Nonetheless, what you say about the club is true, IME. In some ways, this makes it...
Sablon Audio Cables
The Corona Reserva and the Corona Reserva Elite were the two models below the current King and Prince models. The Reserva was ( AFAIK) the last iteration of the Corona line...and the last revision.
Sablon Audio Cables
@jafant The Sablon was bought used, but in like new condition. It’s a 15 amp model and no, I have not tried it on the Esoteric. I replaced a Supra cable in that location with a PS audio micro lab cable, not a big upgrade. I’m sure the Sablon wou...
Sablon Audio Cables
@jafant I use the Sablon from the wall to the Furutech strip. I think this position is probably the most important one. The Sablon uses the Oyaide 004 plugs, which seem to be a great match to my Oyaide R1 wall outlet. I don't know if Sablon has U...
The new Borresen M1's...a new direction?
Anyone done a direct comparison between current Raidho's and new Borresen's?
Sablon Audio Cables
Just wanted to revive this old thread. Sablon seem to be still flying under the radar.  Folks, i just added a Sablon Corona Reserva pc to my system and it really is a superb pc. Highly transparent and extended at both ends of the FS. Everything ...

@falconquest Field coil drivers? Are you sure that in a smaller stand mount that would be preferable?
Jeff Rowland Model 8 or Plinius SA 103
The post above from Carey1110 is 100% correct, IMO.
Jeff Rowland Model 8 or Plinius SA 103
@soix  Just like your taste runs towards the Plinius. Which also means nothing.;0)
Jeff Rowland Model 8 or Plinius SA 103
@soix  I not only have heard the SA103, I had it in my system for a couple of months. Like I stated, it is a good amp, in my system the 8T is a lot better. BTW, the model 8 runs in pure class A up to 25 Watts/ch, and just so you know, Jeff is stil...
Jeff Rowland Model 8 or Plinius SA 103
The Rowland 8 is a tremendous amp, I have owned one for many years, had it modded by Jeff and believe it easily competes with most of the best ss amps that are on the market today.  While the Plinius is a good amp, it really is not in the same le...
Magico A3 vs. Wilson SabrinaX
I had the pleasure of hearing the Wilson Sabrina X again yesterday, Driven by a Nagra ss amp, they truly sang. Fairly large room and well treated, which I think is pretty important to get the most out of any set up. I’m not sure how large a room y...
Gauging interest in a 2008 Continuum Caliburn
I believe I know who this widow is. Thank you for helping her with the table. The best way to sell it would be to put it on the usual sites (including here) and be prepared to lower the price until it hits the market value, whereby it will sell. ...
When were the best tube amps made?
The 80’s era ARC tube amps are generally superb. I used a ARC D70Mk2 for several years with a CAT preamp and the match was one made in heaven. Today, the ARC has been replaced by what I consider to be the best lower output tube amp on the market.....
