What is the science behind audiophile fuses?
@mitch2   Krell was using magnetic breakers over 30 years ago. I have a 20a breaker in my Krell ksa 300s, seems to work fine.
Tube Sound With Equalization?
Space tech lab makes many different tube buffers, there is even one with a builtin super rectifier. I don’t own a space tech lab buffer, but I do own a preamp, dac, hybrid amp and super rectifier. The tube preamp made my big Krell amp I also own s...
WHY DO SOME AUDIOPHILES TRY TO TELL OTHERS WHAT THEY CAN OR CAN’T HEAR IN A SYSTEM?
@hilde45 how do you explain the grandmother that doesn't necessarily use science, only experience and intuition to cook a glorious tasting meal.
The $27,900 disappointment? Wilson Audio Watt Puppy 8 issues.
@toddalin +1 this also applies to people who use measurements to justify their audio experience.
Beware - FedEx Drivers are forging signatures for delivery confirmation
@wtyamamoto you are correct on the express drivers, a friend of mine worked directly for FedEx as an express driver. His job didn't seem that different from FedEx ground, other than he was working directly for FedEx.
Your journey with lower-watt tube amps -- Can a kit be good enough?
@alexberger Do some of these vintage amps use a choke in the power supply?
Bluesound Node versions SQ
@plain_fan you never got the red light of death on your node 2? I’ll never buy another bluesound product after the way they tried to play off a bad design that causes too much heat on the electrolytic capacitors in the bluesound node2, they try t...

@sns they are not all paid a low wage, I know a few different people that work for FEDEX and they make decent money. I guess it's just how greedy the subcontractor is.
Replace tubes yearly?
@larryi you make a good point about tube testers, most testers also don't test the tubes at the same operating parameters that they will be used in.
Replace tubes yearly?
I wonder how many tubes get thrown out because they test weak on a tube tester, when they could perform perfectly fine in a cathode follower circuit.
WHY DO SOME AUDIOPHILES TRY TO TELL OTHERS WHAT THEY CAN OR CAN’T HEAR IN A SYSTEM?
@mrkrichman I agree with most of what you posted, but our ears are not just a microphone, the ear also has amplifying abilities, your brain just determines how much.

@awboat I agree, I can't believe one post included UPS drivers don't get well compensated. I went to a Van Halen concert with my brother-in-law that worked for UPS and we seen a UPS truck go by, he said that guy was making well over 6 figures, and...

I think Danny could be a little more diplomatic and tell the positives about the speakers he is upgrading, obviously there aren't all negatives. He could praise the stuff that is done right and then go into what can be improved on.
Replace tubes yearly?
@rar1 Paul even said in one video several years ago, that you have to be careful not to touch the glass on an audio vacuum tube, that's nonsense, just like his several videos that tell people to change vacuum tubes once a year on input stages.

@onhwy61 My brother-in-law worked at UPS as a delivery driver, he was paid well.
