Dd67000 crossover points?
JBL talks about their drivers in their white papers. They are capable of covering this range. The 4” compression driver in the S9900 shows some non linear breakup above 10k but The 4” driver in the Everest is beryllium and probably addresses it. A...
Looking for Sub to pair with Dynaudio Confidence 20s
Not JL audio, mine are always breaking…
Speakers for weird sized room.....
Short wall setup? Try magnepans or other speakers with narrow dispersion. Magnepans cancel a good bit of the lateral dispersion and work well in narrow rooms.
Finally...subwoofer that's aesthetically pleasing!
Just and FIY, the subs are passive. They had the 2000 watt Mac amps driving the sub section…
To Focal or not to Focal
I have always been disappointed by “low end” focals. I have seen 1038be and 1028be used speakers go super cheap. I would personally look for a deal like that. They are really close in sound quality to the Sopra line.     to be clear I like foca...
Can I turn my 2-way Bookshelf speakers 90°…?
Yes you can without issue BUT the sweet spot will be pretty small if they normally have vertical drivers.  At this website you can see horizontal vs vertical dispersion.      https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/loudspeakers/sonus_faber_lumina_ii/
Finally...subwoofer that's aesthetically pleasing!
Jetter, not sure where I saw the driver with the sticker (another forum or YouTube), but I saved a screen shot of it. I am not sure how to post a picture from my phone on this forum. It does not really matter, lots of brands use scan speak, seas,...
Finally...subwoofer that's aesthetically pleasing!
the subs look nice, I would like to see a marketed external crossover from them  we could use a few more options.   Sadly in the press release you could see the scan speak sticker on that midrange. Good brand but at ludicrous prices I expect the...
Subwoofer speed is in the room, not the box
Anyone that has used a sub without a highpass is doing it wrong. My current speakers have 15” bass drivers and I still highpass at 65hz. If I had better subs I would probably highpass even higher.    … and really…use measurements, why guess.
Confused with size of speaker to get when placed along long wall in large room
I would sit as near field as you can to eliminate room reflections. You can also use free standing acoustic panels close (4’ish) to the speakers to catch the sound before it bounces around the room. This will work well on the open side and behind ...
Do You Buy Speakers Without Hearing Them?
I do, I bought a pair of Revel 228be (in fairness I head the 328be before buying) and JBL 4367 unheard. Both have been exceptional. I also listen to anything I can. Locally I have access to the Kef Blade, Revel Salon 2, 802D4, Sonus Faber Olympica...
3-4 dB dip at crossover region: what should I listen for to hear it?
I would be interested in a dedicated threat about the 4349s as you get used to them and compare them to your other speakers. I am thinking about buying 4 of them for surrounds for use with my 4367s. So the “audiophile” sound quality is not critica...
3-4 dB dip at crossover region: what should I listen for to hear it?
I don’t think you will hear it. I have a pair of Klispch RP8000f (own a pair of JBL 4367s too) and they RP8000f has the same kind of thing at the crossover but much worse on axis. Once in room I really don’t “hear” the dip much. In the Klispch it ...
Klipsch Lascala II bin separation
Interesting. You could make a stand that spans the width of the lower cabinet and support the top cabinet from the floor. This would completely isolate the two. It would only take a few minutes with 2x4s to “prototype”. If it works make something ...
Heritage Cornwall Iv's vs ZU Audio Omen Defs
The Cornwalls do not have “horn honk”. The horn coloration is from defraction  back down the feed throat of the horn, almost all modern horns have solved this issue with computer modeling. Klispch’s fix is the “mumps” in the horn. If you look at J...
