WhestTHREE signature phono pre vs. ModWright PH 9.0X
@blisshifi @laynes Thank you both! That is valuable feedback. I haven't really see any pop up on the used market, so I assumed it either wasn't very popular at all, or people love them and don't want to get rid of them to upgrade very often!
Tannoy Turnberry vs Fyne 502SP?
@grannyring that's what I thought about Fyne. Totally explains how they were able to hit the ground running since they have all that experience coming from Tannoy, and from what I've heard from owners, they've improved upon it.  The circle labs o...

@paulietunes I agree. I have been given some good recommendations that weren't even on my radar in the past. There's so much gear out there, especially in the mid-range price points. @audiosaurusrex Thanks for the info about the modwright. Pretty...

@lalitk Interesting. I've never heard of that one. Doing a quick look, it's quite a bit over budget. Looking to stay around the $4500 mark at max with a little wiggle room here and there.

@joenies The oracle mk VI is a real beauty. The hifi shop I used to go to a long time ago had a mk 1 in store and even that was really nice - though definitely showed its age. Love it, but they are way over my budget, especially once you factor in...
Tannoy Turnberry vs Fyne 502SP?
@grislybutter from my understanding Fyne was founded by many ex-Tannoy people, and they brought with them many years of speaker-making expertise with a modernized design. Many of their models are quite similar to Tannoy offerings in design even - ...

@joey54 yeah, I've considered sticking with Clearaudio, but if I was going to do that, I'd want to at least go for the Innovation. I like the thicker platter on that one (and have heard on in person). Just comfortably outside my budget for now.
Tannoy Turnberry vs Fyne 502SP?
@bjesien so something along the lines of the Cary Audio SLI-100? Not very familiar with that amp, but have heard good things about the brand.
Tannoy Turnberry vs Fyne 502SP?
I have also been looking at the Circle Labs A200. Maybe a hybrid amp is the answer to provide a mix of good power and some tube warmth.

If anyone has any insight into the tables I listed originally, I'd love to hear some feedback on those.
Tannoy Turnberry vs Fyne 502SP?
My issue is that solid state is a dealbreaker for me. I vastly prefer tube amps with what I typically am listening to. I don't love how clinical SS have been when I've tried a few.  It's possible there are SS amps out there that don't suffer from...

@dodgealum yes, definitely good points. I am slowly working through upgrading my entire system. Currently have a phonomena II+ but looking at a ModWright PH 9.0X as an upgrade (though I'm still debating a few options from the Gold note PH10, Whest...

@vinylshadow yeah, it definitely looks like the sovereign is the one to get doing some quick research. With the origin live silver tonearm, it looks like it would run about $9500 - just converting from GBP, but usually there is a markup for import...

@vinylshadow I have. The Resolution and Sovereign models seem pretty nice, but I can only find one dealer in the US that sells them online and they are pretty barebones with no descriptions or data or info on what comes with them (if anything). I'...

@dodgealum with the origin live silver, it comes in at $3995 new, which is a fair amount less than the other options I listed above. Is it a significant step above the clearaudio concept?
