Moving up the Harbeth line
@arafiq  As has been pointed out, the larger models above the 30.X are not all cut from exactly the same cloth.  I think you'd find more "family resemblance" between the 30.X and the 40.X rather than the SHL5+.  If you can accommodate them, the 40...

Looking for my "last" CD transport
Budget????PS AudioJaysRumor has it that Schiit is working on one, due soon.  Could be just the ticket.
Ready, set, comment! Speaker cables don’t make a difference?
It's always 4:00 a.m. somewhere.Or is that just cocktail time?
Class D for a Tube Lover
I hope this doesn't turn into a re-run of "Waiting for Godot", but the much-delayed LSA Voyager GaNFET power amp is now announced as shipping in late May.  At 3K this is as close to your desired budget and desired sound as you're likely to find an...
AGD Audion GaN Class D In The House
bigkidz says:  "I am a Class A design tube amplifier guy so the Class D amps I have heard don't float my boat at all but if someone else likes the way they sound in their system then I am all for that!"Evidently, like some other posters, bigkidz h...
Raise your acoustic panels or die
I don't think those Gobo free-standing panels are really designed for that, at least not their primary purpose.  By all means stack corner traps to the ceiling.  But you might try the Gobo's positioned at 45 degrees, half way between the side edge...

I gather that tvad on this forum heard them and was distinctly impressed, though he opted to stick with an Audio Note-based system.
AGD Audion GaN Class D In The House
I can't believe the level of negativity in the responses in this thread.  This is one of the things that really afflicts the Audiogon forum.  One kind of post is made when someone gets a new piece of equipment, is excited about it, and wants to sh...
Your advice needed, speakers to buy $8K to $13K
Raidho's are wildly overpriced, so even their tickle-down used price is high w.r.t. what they offer.  Cost-effective options elsewhere.
I just bought a Steinway which sounds like a banjo.
Ah, but there are Hamburg Steinways and New York Steinways. Is that like British speakers vs. American, or like East Coast sound vs. West Coast?

how can low watt tube amps drive speakers with higher power requirements
KEF doesn't know what kind of amp or quality of amp you're going to use.  The figures quoted are no doubt within a "safe" margin, and were probably determined as much by lawyers as by technical people.  Experiments are good, but always at your own...
Custom Phono interconnect build-out shops or vendors?
Triode Wire Labs does plenty of one-off wires of all sorts.
Too much Yo-Yo Ma?
Moved on from Savall.  Current fav is Hille Perl.  She has plenty of recordings; seek some out.
