A49 Arcam

I understand Arcam will be releasing the model later this month; other than some brief mentions, I have not seen any reviews on the amplifier.

I'm interested not only in the A49, but Arcam is also releasing the C49 preamp and the P49 power amp; will be interesting to see how it is received.

Thanks for the info, Arcamguy. I've had the A19 for the past couple of months and absolutely love it. Not only for how great it sounds but also its build quality and functionality (the volume control is one of the best I have ever used). I can't wait to hear the A49. Although, even if I love it I can in no way afford it. Do you have any info if Arcam is going to fill the void between the A19 and the A49 with something more affordable? I haven't been able to find anything on the web myself.

I would imagine Arcam will fill the gap with new products.
The A49 will list for around $5,000; it's designed in the UK, and built in the US, in Rochester, NY.
I would expect to see an A29 and A39 eventually...just guessing.

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, I hope they do make an A29 or A39. I would love to hear what my A19 would do with 100 watts. The 50 watts and everything else about the A19 is fantastic!

Dcgandhi, I wish I could help you with a comparison of the E460/A49. I do hope you get a chance to hear the A49. Arcam is making some outstanding gear of late.
