c2600 vs c52 for mc452

Need a recommendation for a pre amp for c452. 
What are the pros and cons of C52 vs c2600. 
How often would I have to change tubes on c2600? 
is tube failure a common occurrence ? 
Are there any audible imperfections with tubes vs ss? 
How big is the difference in sound between the two if using a ss amp? Is it noticeable ? 
I won't be able to test prior to purchase. 
This is mostly for classical music, with Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grands. 
Source is mcd550.
