Cardas Clear XLR interconnects

I've purchased single cables from The Cable Company for the center channel speaker in my home theatre.  I suspect most dealers offer this option.  The cost is half of that for a pair.  You are effectively buying two single cables, albeit different lengths.

For everyone’s information:  Cardas replied to my email regarding a pair of Clear XLR interconnects of different lengths and told me to order from a dealer a single cable in each size I require. Easily solution

I'm afraid that using 2 different lengts of cables in R and L channels will result in different sound signature on the speakers. It is well known that longer cables sound smooter than short ones. 

Although it is better to use equal lengths and as short as possible, I would recommend first simply try what you have. Connect them and check the sound. Then swap channels and see if you hear any difference.
