Think about getting the Integra DTC-9.8 multichannel preamp-processor ($1600). Then use your tube amps for the front pair and add additional amps for the other channels as your setup requires. I suggest looking at the Parts Express Dayton APA150 150W Power Amplifier's. Low cost, great sound. As your budget allows, change the amps to tubes if you do not like the sound of the solid state amps. The key is using the preamp-processor as the front end. The units flexible software will amaze you. Hey the pre-amp has a phono input.
Help - Tubelover has to built a hometheater budget
Hi Guys out there.
I am in a dilemma. I have a really nice Jolida 502A/audio alchemy phono pre VPI/Micro Benz setup. I listen to Vinyl only and built a hometheater. After a few trials did I realize that no SS receiver will match the musical performance of my Jolida.
I am now looking for a multichannel power amp that is in the $2000 - $3000 PRICERANGE that could get me AT LEAST A LITTLE CLOSER to the sonic pleasure of the J.
I would only need 3 - 5 channels
PLEASE help
