How much does your system retail for?

$23,000 - $24,000 I estimate. (Two channel, this does not include TV, VCR, etc.)

Please, keep the exagerations to a minumum, do not count CD's, equipment you have bought and sold, is packed away that you don't use anymore, etc..

Put the total first so it shows up at the begining of your post.

This is just for fun and curiosity of the diversity on here, don't take it to seriously. Simply evaluate what the retail value of your system is.

About $10k. Wished I had it all at once now. Would do it differently. Still looking!!

The last two posts are sad, but I know what they are talking about, I've been there. It can be an art in putting together a system that sounds good and it can be down right depressing to have that kind of money wrapped up in it and not be pleased. Hang in there guys and don't get caught up in things like "bigger is better".

It need to be relative to your home or car. For Mr. Microsoft, million dollar system is nothing, but for a sub-average Joe like me, a $5K system is a big deal. I have to continue to drive my old 1990 Mazda ($1K? No, nobody want to buy a 192K miles 1990 Mazda for $1K) to maintain my addiction.
