How much to spend on phono preamp

I am thinking of buying VPI prime scout with Ortofon MC Quintet Black S. How much is it worth spending on phono stage? Is something like Fono MC Phono Preamp enough?

This is $1k cartridge with low output, you want quality phono that can bring out the best in it. Tonearm cable is very important too.
